I love James Teitelbaum´s “needlessly complicated twist” (his own words) on a Pisco Sour, the Aku Hall Sour (found in his book Destination Cocktails).

2.5 oz. Pisco, 0.75 oz. Lemon Juice, 0.5 oz. Lime Juice, 0.5 oz. Simple Syrup, 0.5 oz. Grand Marnier, 0.75 oz. Falernum, 2 dashes Orange Bitters, 1 tablespoon Cruzan Black Strap (for float), garnish: 1 Quarter Lime Rind, pinch of Brown Sugar

Shake ingredients with crushed ice and pour into a tiki mug. Garnish with a quarter lime rind, float the Cruzan Black Strap on top and sprinkle with brown sugar. Enjoy!
