Apple Daiquiri

The Apple Daiquiri, which I found in Jim Meehan´s PDT Cocktail Book, goes with Schönauer Apfel Schnapps. This is a German spirit from a German town in the Black Forest and I am German; however, I was not able to get hold of a bottle through the world wide web.

This means soon we will travel there ( a 3 hours ride) and hopefully get  one.

Meanwhile I found a, hopefully, acceptable substitute: a very nice 80 proof Berentzen Golden Apple. Let´s check it out!

Ingredients

2 oz. Dry White Rum, 0.75 oz. Lime Juice, 0.75 oz. Apple Liqueur (80 proof), 0.25 oz. Simple Syrup, garnish: Green Cocktail Cherry (optional, just for fun)

Preparation

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Notes

A beautiful sweet and strong autumn drink. Another one please!
