The Hunter, found in Sean Muldoon & Jack McGarry´s book The Dead Rabbit, is a great autumn drink. And an excellent opportunity to use the Bitter Truth EXR Amaro.

Their recipe was inspired by J. A. Grohusko, Jack´s Manual of Recipes for Fancy Mixed Drinks and How to Serve Them (1908).

2 ounces Bulleit Rye, 3/4 ounce The Bitter Truth EXR Amaro, 1/2 ounce Cherry Liqueur, 1/4 ounce Pernod Absinthe, 5 dashes Xocolatl Mole Bitters, garnish: Orange Peel

Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Twist the orange peel over the glass to express the oils, then discard the peel (I dropped it in).
