Mortal Enemy

The Mortal Enemy is a Last Word variation by Jillian Vose (2013), found in Death & Co´s book Modern Classic Cocktails. Finally I found a great drink for which I can use my Black Currant Cordial!

3/4 oz. Gin, 3/4 oz. White Creme de Cacao, 3/4 oz. Black Currant Cordial, 1 dash Absinthe, 3/4 oz. Lime Juice, 1/4 oz. Simple Syrup

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

  1. Who has Black Currant Cordial? Oh, wait. I do!!! We’ll have to try this. Thanks for the post!

As mixologist you can imagine that this drink is quite sweet. In a second try I increased the gin and skipped the simple syrup, which resulted in an even better drink for my taste.
