“After driving past a hot dog stand in Martinique, David Wondrich and I came up with this drink, whose name means hot dog in French“, Jim Meehan writes in his PDT Cocktail book about the Chien Chaud.
2 oz. Coconut Water, 1.5 oz. Rhum Blanc, 0.25 oz. Yellow Chartreuse,2 dashes Angostura Bitters, garnish: Lime Wheel
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a fizz glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
The mixture of coconut water and yellow Chartreuse with the rhum and Angostura results in a spicy refreshing and flavorful strong drink.
