The Terrible Love was created by Phil Ward, 2013 (Death & Co´s Modern Classic Cocktails).

1-1/2 ounces Mezcal, 3/4 ounce Suze Saveur D´Autrefois Liqueur, 1/2 ounce St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, 1 dash Orange Bitters, 1 dash Celery Bitters (optional, my variation), garnish: Grapefruit Twist

Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with the grapefruit twist.

I like the combination of the sweetness of the elderflower, the bitterness of the suze and the bitters, the bite and earthiness of the mezcal, and the hints of grapefruit and oranges.
