Finally I have made my own dried Banana Chips. So it is time now to enjoy a Banana Cognac!

Inspired by a Dave Chappelle sketch, Tyson Buhler created this shaken brandy drink in 2013 (source: Death & Co´s Modern Classic Cocktails).

1 ounce Cognac, 1/2 ounce Cachaça, 3/4 ounce Lemon Juice, 1/2 ounce Orange Juice, 3/4 ounce Banana Syrup, 1/4 ounce Orgeat, 2 dashes Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas Own Decanter Bitters (the original recipe asks for Angostura), garnish: 1 Dried Banana Chip

Short shake the ingredients with three ice cubes only and strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with the banana chip and serve with a straw.

This drink is a master piece! The cognac and the aged cachaça combines so well with the banana, lemon and orange flavors, the sweetness of the syrups and the bitter notes. I recommend that you should stick exactly to the given quantities as they are perfectly balanced.
