I have read that the Kamikaze owes its name to its effect, which is compared with the strength of Japanese kamikaze special forces.

So be sure to hand your car keys to someone responsible before you start to drink it.

This was a very popular drink during the 1980s. Today, many people use lemon juice instead of lime and incorrectly refer to the drink as a Lemon Drop.“, according to Robert Hess in his book The Essential Bartender´s Guide.

1-1/2 ounce vodka, 1 ounce triple sec, 1 ounce lime juice, garnish: lime twist

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime twist.

kamikazeTasting Notes

A not so bad, but simple strong vodka drink with a light sweetness.
