The Clover Club made its appearance right before Prohibition and was an extremely  popular cocktail in its day“, Robert Hess writes in The Essential Bartender´s Guide.

If you add mint leaves to the ingredients it becomes the Clover Leaf Cocktail, Robert explains, and this is the drink I tried today!

1-1/2 ounces gin, 1/4 ounce grenadine, 3/4 ounce lemon juice, 1 egg white, mint leaves (no quantity given, I took 10 leaves)

First dry shake ingredients to help foam the egg, then add ice and shake again. Double strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a mint leaf.

A very elegant delicious frothy and minty gin drink with the tart and sweet note of grenadine.
