The Union Club created by Jamie Boudreau for Vessel in Seattle, found in Robert Hess´ The Essential Bartender´s Guide.
2 oz. Bourbon, 1/2 oz. Maraschino, 1/2 oz. Campari, 1 and 1/2 oz. Orange Juice
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
On his site spiritsandcocktails.com Jamie himself writes about this drink “I find that the natural sweetness in oj makes a great yin to the yang of the bitter of amaros and, in particular, to Campari.“
The cherry and orange fruit flavors mix so well with the bourbon and the bitterness of the Campari. In deed, a delicious Campari drink!
