A flip is an egg-based drink made by combining a spirit and/or wine with a sweetening ingredient and a whole egg.” (Robert Hess in The Essential Bartenders Guide).

Ohh, I believe this was enough theory for today, wasn´t it?

The Apricot Flip is the perfect winter drink.

2 oz Cognac, 0.75 oz Apricot Liqueur, 0.5 oz Simple Syrup,
1 whole Egg (this is not Bangladesh circa 1825, yes, you can do it, you can risk to  drink a whole raw egg if it is fresh and from a known trustful source, and mixed with a good portion of cognac!), garnish: Grated Nutmeg

Dry-shake ingredients, then shake with ice. Strain into a cocktail coupe and garnish with grated nutmeg.
