“If you like Manhattans, then track down some Amer Picon for this drink.”

So did I.

The Liberal, found in The Essential Bartender´s Guide by Robert Hess.


1 and 1/2 oz. Rye Whiskey, 1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth, 1/4 oz. Amer Picon, 1 dash Orange Bitters, garnish: Orange Twist.


Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a glass. Garnish with the orange twist.
