Blue Paradise

4. December 2014 by swizzzlestick

Don´t expect anything blue here! The Blue Paradise is a Post-Prohibition Belgian cocktail by Emil Bauwens (1949).

It is one of the very rare opportunities to use the very old and very rare ingredient Parfait Amour (found in Ted Haigh´s Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails).

2 oz. Cognac, 1 oz. Dubonnet Rouge, 4 dashes Parfait Amour, 1 dash Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters (optional, my choice), garnish: Lemon Twist

Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with the lemon twist.
