Yesterday night Eva and I came back from a wonderful short trip to Berlin.
In the 1st night we went to Green Door where we had drinks mixed on world-class level.
My beloved Eva developed the capacity to find the most amazing drinks and enjoyed there a fantastic Mary Pickford. Isn´t she so lovely and beautiful?
In the 2nd night we went to Harry´s New-York Bar in the Esplanade Hotel where we had awesome Martinis and Manhattans while listening to live piano music and enjoying the wonderful lounge atmosphere.
Being back at home again I wanted to re-do the Mary Pickford. Having studied a few recipes I decided to try two versions, one with the (more original) ratio of Rum to pineapple juice from 1:1 and one with the ratio of 2:1.
I can say both versions are great, the first one is fruiter and lighter and in the second version the rum draws more attention.
50ml White Rum, 50ml (2nd version 25ml) Pineapple Juice, 1 TS Grenadine, 6 drops Maraschino
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail coupe.
