The Alamagoozlum Cocktail, or as Charles H. Baker Jr. titled it (1939) according to Ted Haigh´s “Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails“:
“J. Pierpont Morgan´s Alamagoozlum: the Personal Mix Credited to that Financier, Philantropist, & Banker of a Bygone Era“,
broke common rules of sensible drink making. Note the big portion of Angostura Bitters! It´s quite a big effort, but the result is sensational, you won´t regret it!
1/2 Egg White, 2 oz. Genever Gin, 2 oz. Water, 1 and a half oz. Jamaica Rum, 1 and a half oz. Yellow or Green Chartreuse, 1 and a half oz. Gomme Syrup, 1/2 oz. Orange Curaçao, 1/2 oz. Angostura Bitters
Shake very hard and long with ice (I dry-shaked the ingredients first) and strain into two chilled cocktail glasses.
