The legend says that the Blood and Sand was created in the 1920s for the silent film production of the same name starring Rudolph Valentino. Here is Dale Degroff´s recipe of this wonderful drink. Served ice cold it is absolutely amazing!

3/4 oz. Blended Scotch, 3/4 oz. Peter Heering Cherry Heering, 3/4 oz. Italian Sweet Vermouth, 3/4 oz. Orange juice, garnish: Orange Peel

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with the orange peel.
