If you ever visit the Northern part of Germany you MUST visit Braunschweig! It does not only offer overwhelming history and architecture ..  01 02 03 04.. it also offers the best cocktail bar in Germany where I have been, the “Siebenschläfer“. You find absolutely fantastic drinks, a wonderful friendly personnel and management and a very nice place for relaxing from your city visit. 05You can expect quite rare classics like the Lord Suffolk.06

Remembering this wonderful stay I did the Lord Suffolk today myself. And here it is!

1/4 oz. Carpano Antica, 1/4 oz. Cointreau, 1 and 1/4 oz. Gin, 1/4 oz. Maraschino, 1 dash Lemon Bitters (my own addition), garnish: Lemon Peel

Stir ingredients well with ice and strain into a cooled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon peel. 100_7354The following days I will do a few more of these drinks which I learned to know in Braunschweig´s Siebenschläfer!
