The old Deshler Cocktail, as presented by Robert Hess on Small Screen network, is a fantastic Manhattan-like drink. It is a WWI-era relative of the Manhattan. Dave Deshler was a successful American lightweight boxer in the early years of the 20th century. Let´s remember him, and give the drink with his name a try, you won´t regret it!

1 and 1/2 oz Rye Whiskey, 1 oz Dubonnet, 1/4 oz Cointreau, 2 dashes Creole Bitters, large Orange Zest, large Lemon Zest, Garnish: Orange Twist

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail coupe.

Garnish with an orange twist.
