Papa Doble – The Wild Daiquiri

25. January 2014 by swizzzlestick

Ernest Hemingway visited Havana´s La Florida Bar regularily beginning in 1932. 1947 the Floridita cocktail manual named a drink after him, the Papa Doble, also called the Wild Daiquiri, one of my favorites! Very strong, large, with only little sweetness!

3 and 3/4 oz. White Rum, 2 oz. Lime Juice, 2 oz. Grapefruit Juice, 6 drops Maraschino Liqueur (I always like to take more!)

Blend well with about 1 and 1/2 cups of crushed ice in a mixer until it foams and serve in a large goblet.
