Tabula Rasa

12. November 2013 by swizzzlestick

The Tabula Rasa  is a wonderful melange of chocolate, Italian bitter aperitif, Italian vermouth and a hint of orange.

3cl Austrian Mozart Dry (a clear chocolate liqueur with 40% of alcohol)

2cl Italian Bitter Aperitif (I took Campari)

2cl Carpano Antica Formula

Sitr in a mixing glass with ice and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a flamed orange peel.

Amazing, do you know the difference between using Mozart Dry or a White Creme de Cacao?

    • Hi ceccotti,

I have the Cacao White from Bols which is quite sweet and with 24% of alcohol. But the Mozart Dry, distilled from chocolate macerate, is dry and has 40% (!) of alcohol. Because of that you can use it as a strong base for drinks, like in the Tabula Rasa. It is one of my favorite spirits. By adding it for example to Caipirinha or Mojito you can create very different surprising drinks.
