As I got hold of a fresh untreated grapefruit today I interrupt my applejack series for a Cuzco, invented by Julie Reiner of the Flatiron Lounge!


2 oz. Pisco

3/4 oz. Aperol

172 oz. Lemon Juice

1/2 oz. Grapefruit Juice

3/ oz. Simple Syrup

Dash of Kirschwasser

Grapefruit peel for garnish


Pour kirschwasser into a cocktail glass and swirl it around to coat the glass, and discard. Mix the remaining ingredients with ice and strain into the glass. Garnish with grapefruit peel or twist.
