Looking for further drinks with Amer Picon I discovered the Bywater Cocktail made by New Orleans Bartender Chris Hannah. However, one version of this cocktail is using Averna instead of Amer Picon. And this is the version which I tried today!
1 3/4 oz. Aged Rum
3/4 oz. Averna
1/2 oz. Green Chartreuse
1/4 oz. Falernum
2 dashes Peychaud´s Orange Bitters
2 dashes Orange Bitters
Stir ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice and strain into a cocktail glass (this glass in the picture I just bought today (4 pieces), I drove two hours to get them, am I crazy?). Twist an orange peel over the drink. Discard the orange peel and garnish the drink with a cherry.
