Next week the Oktoberfest begins in Munich. I am German, but not Bavarian, and I have never visited the Oktoberfest. Nevertheless, the Bavarian kitchen is delicious and during the Oktoberfest season every small village offers Oktoberfest food. I myself decided to mingle a little bit the North American and the Bavarian kitchen. I planked salmon on red cedar and glazed it with sweet Bavarian mustard (with some honey and chili flakes) and served it on a pretzel bread with fresh dill. This was really awesome!

A fantastic but heavy meal deserves a great digestive! So I prepared a Vodka Espresso!

4cl freshly brewed but cooled Espresso

2cl Vodka

2 BS sugar

2cl Amarula liqueur

Shake the first 3 ingredients with ice in a shaker. Strain, and build it with the Amarula liqueur in a cocktail glass.
