Remember the Maine

It took some until I had the ingredients together for my first Remember the Maine! In addition today at a flea market I found the glass you see below. Unfortunately it is scratched and has production mistakes as well; nevertheless, I started to like it! It is very heavy and I think it is quite similar to a historic cocktail coupe, isn´t it? I tried to find the best recipe for this cocktail (this one is from Brad Thomas Parsons´book Bitters), please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement!

Ingredients

Splash of Absinthe

2 oz. Rye

3/4 oz. Carpano Antica

1/4 oz. Cherry Heering

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Preparation

Coat the interior of a chilled cocktail coupe with Absinthe and shake it out. Sitr the remaining ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice and strain into the cocktail coupe.
