Batida de Mel

3. September 2013 by swizzzlestick

The Batida de Mel is a wonderful variation of the Caipirinha! It is sweetend with honey and Rose´s Lime Juice, instead of sugar.

2 Limes

6cl Chachaca

6cl Rose´s Lime Juice

1 Bar Spoon Honey

Fill a large tumbler with ice cubes. Cut the limes into quarters and squeeze the juice into the glass. Add a few lime quarters to the glass. Add the Cachaca and the Rose´s Lime Juice and stir well. Let a bar spoon of honey flow over the drink.

  1. Does the lime juice (roses) blend well with the fresh lime? I’ve always kept away from the cordials because I find, all to often, it tastes like washing up liquid =(
The cocktail does look delicious though!

    • I know that not everyone is a friend of Rose´s Lime Juice. I myself like to use it occasionally, like any other Cordial, but not as a regular substitute for real lime juice! Indeed, this cocktail was fine, there were no leftovers 😉
