The recipe of the Alaska Cocktail can be found in Harry Craddock´s Savoy Cocktail Book. It is unclear what the relation to Alaska is, but you should sip it ice-cold, this gives you at least some Alaska feeling.

Just today I found the yellow Chartreuse, one of the few liqueurs which is still made by French monks, which is milder than its stronger green brother.

1 1/2 ounzes gin

3/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse

1 dash orange bitters

Sitr in a mixing glass until chilled and pour in a cocktail glass.

Garnish with a lemon twist.
